Thursday 13 March 2025

I caught up with Hitech driver, Dino Berganovic´ in the Formula 2 paddock, to get to know him a little better.

The reason? Because out of all the junior drivers I’ve watched over the last five seasons, I believe he will make it to Formula 1, and succeed.

He’s been a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2020 and has just been announced as the Scuderia test driver for 2025 now that British driver, Ollie Bearman, has been promoted to Haas F1 team.

TSUNODA:  'Looking Forward to Fighting' Lawson

Going back almost seven years, Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson have been driving side-by-side in a variety of different racing categories.

By the time they arrived in Milton Keynes, living close to the Red Bull factory, they were becoming good friends. They’d hang out together in their down time, and the pair may or may not have raced around the renowned dual-carriageways and roundabouts that surround the Buckinghamshire city.

It was inevitable they’d be driving in Formula 1 at the same time, battling for position. But nobody could have predicted the pair would be flighting for the only available seat next to four-time World Champion, Max Verstappen.

Based on his performances leading up to the 2025 season, Liam became the winner of the Red Bull contract.

During the first race of the season in Australia, I chatted with Tsunoda about Lawson being signed to Red Bull above him, and if it had affected the friendship they’d built.

Chatting to L.A.Wilshaw, Haas F1 Team driver, Ollie Bearman, shared some of his thoughts for the season ahead.

“I mean a race win would be fantastic but judging by the performances [of the Haas car] over the years, quite unrealistic I would say. I think that’s a pretty fair comment.”

So, how does a driver with no clear-cut opportunity to win a race prepare themselves for the long season ahead?

NORRIS: “Bitter sweet’ to take Pole in front of team mate’s home crowd

F1 | Australian GP |

Thursday 13 March 2025

The roar of the crowd was deafening as local hero, Oscar Piastri, crossed the start/finish line to grab Pole position.

Yet seconds later, Lando Norris followed suit to snatch P1 for Sunday’s FIA Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

I later asked Norris if stamping his mark on the first race of the season, while breaking thousands of Aussie hearts in the process, was bitter sweet.

LECLERC & HAMILTON: A budding bromance?

F1 | Australian GP |

Thursday 13 March 2025

On Thursday, Lewis Hamilton was asked in the Drivers’ press conference what has impressed him most about his team mate, Charles Leclerc.

The session became light-hearted and humorous as Hamilton replied:

“Besides his great hair? [Ponders the question] His eyes. I mean, he’s a good looking lad, you know!”

Referring this comment to Leclerc afterwards, I asked if this could be a budding bromance, and if the Monegasque could return the compliment.

GASLY:

“We’ll take anything that can reinforce the team.”

F1 | Australian GP |

Thursday 13 March 2025

There are a handful of talented young drivers filtering through the Alpine Academy, including Italian F4 Champion, Gabriel Miní.

Many are questioning the safety of Jack Doohan’s seat already, perhaps unfairly, before he’s driven a race in his full-time seat.

Ocon: “We’ve managed to put the finger on where we need to improve.”

The first race of the season is upon us in Australia, and despite three Practice sessions, none of the FIA Formula 1 teams are giving much away. The term, Sandbagging, is being thrown around the paddock, as many teams held off completing a full lap until the final moments of P3.

The general consensus in the paddock is that Albert Park is a very popular place to begin the season.
